Fine Art Portfolio
Most of my work emulates positive energy in living spaces. Many of my designs were created to be displayed at any angle. I pride myself on making artwork that reminds the viewer that they are limitless, much like the limitless ways my artwork can be displayed.
Gentle Radiance, 2024
Artist: Alexia Written
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 48in x 24in

I challenged myself to use various shades and textures of white with a small of black infusing warmth, freshness, and subtlety. MY goal was to evoke a sense of comfort and tranquility while also embracing the vibrancy of warm hues. This journey allowed me to explore the delicate balance between light and shadow, texture and tone ultimately creating an ambiance that invites serenity and elegance.

Her Rising, 2022
Artist: Alexia Written
Acrylic on Canvas
Size 48in x 24in
Price $3,500
Canvas prints are available
It’s about experiencing a moment when everything comes into alignment. The word horizon is typically defined as where the earth and the ocean meet. It is a symbol of completeness and unity. This painting represents our personal horizon, the image of all things coming together in the most unique and harmonious way that we didn't even think was possible. Every small intricate detail, the things we overlooked, the parts of us that we thought were not valuable played an imported part of all things working together for our good. Her Rising is about the joy and hope that come with the realization that everything is falling into place. This abstract acrylic painting is an ode to the beauty and complexity of our Creator. All things will come together in a way that is better than how we imagine.

Chromatic Courage, 2022
Artist: Alexia Written
Acrylic on Canvas
Size 48in x 24in
Price $3,500
As an artist, I have always been drawn to using bright, bold colors in my work. I find them energizing and stimulating, and they always seem to make a statement. I recognize that relying on these colors can prevent me from exploring new avenues and pushing my creative boundaries. I decided to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone by exploring monochromatic colors. I focused on using shades of white, gray, silver, and black to create this piece. Using monochromatic colors allowed me to create a different type of energy and mood in my art.

Genesis Collection
Artist: Alexia Written
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 12in x 36in
Price: $3,000.00
I titled this series Genesis because it represents the start of a valuable life lesson I gained
while crafting these artworks. Initially, I had a clear vision of developing a series of paintings
centered around a Galaxy Space theme. However, due to some complications, I was unable to
execute my original plan, leading to weeks and days of frustration and failure. This experience
taught me a significant lesson about the creative process and life itself.
Through this process, I learned to relinquish control and let the painting guide me. Sometimes,
despite having a brilliant idea in mind, we cannot always control the outcome, and life has a
way of taking us in unexpected directions. It is up to us to embrace the beauty and
significance that arises from these experiences.
As you explore each painting in the Genesis series, I encourage you to embrace the unexpected
and appreciate the beauty and meaning that stems from the creative process. These paintings
are a tribute to life, creation, and the beauty that emerges when we surrender ourselves to the journey.

Roots to the Tree of Life, 2024
Artist: Alexia Written
Size: 36 in x 36 in
Acrylic on Canvas
Price: $10,000
This abstract piece reveals the unseen and untold stories of our past and present. People often admire what is visible on the exterior, the surface. Society tends to focus on how we dress, style our hair, and express our culture. But like a tree, there is something far more profound beneath the surface.
The bold strokes in this painting represent our roots, while the intricate, consistent details weave a narrative of legacy and strength. Just as a flourishing tree stands tall, society often overlooks the depth of its roots, the foundation that allows it to thrive. Similarly, we often find ourselves searching in the dark for a source of water, nutrients, and new ways to flourish in a world full of obstacles.
This painting reflects the depth of our roots, which continue to grow, stretch, and thrive beyond the boundaries of the canvas. I intentionally extended the roots to symbolize continuity, an enduring journey that transcends limits. As Black people, we embody this resilience, constantly reaching for new heights, seeking expansion, and telling our stories in fresh and powerful ways.
Roots provide the foundation and strength for the tree to stand tall, and Roots to the Tree of Life celebrates Black people as the all-encompassing foundation of the past and the present. We are still growing, still reaching, and still thriving, building a legacy that stands tall and continues to rise.

Dare to Dream 2024 (Sold)
Artist: Alexia Written
Size: 24 x 24
Mixed Media
Price: $1,200.00 Sold

As a Creative being, I have many loves. I love graphic design, poetry, and creative writing. I also love working with digital design, and I have a deep passion for typography, layers, and textures. We live in a world where multi-talented individuals are often told to pick one talent. For years, I have struggled with this. This piece shows all my talents and gifts coming together into one concept.
I wrote the quote. We live in a time where dreaming big is oftentimes considered risky, but despite that, I dare myself to still dream and to still believe. I also digitally designed the typesetting in the background. Lastly, I wanted to challenge myself to see how I could make a mainly white painting interesting, bold, warm, and encouraging. The quote and typesetting were done using my creative writing and graphic design skills. The different shades of white and texture were manually created to show depth, layers, and warmth simultaneously.

Pages of My Cry, 2020
Artist: Alexia Witten
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 24in x 36in
Price $4,000.00
The canvas becomes a sacred space where the written
pages from my diaries, prayers and journals from
1994 to 2000 are reborn, offering glimpses into the reality
of my existence.
The biggest misconception is that tears only come from a
place of sadness. As I've journeyed through life I have
experienced tears with every emotion.
When a person feels frustrated, overwhelmed, or silenced
tears may flow. When a person is angry, confused, or
uncomfortable tears may flow. When a person feels joy, love, or safe tears may flow. When a person feels seen, respected and is heard, tears may flow.
As you see the paint may flow over the words letters
prayers and journal pages of my life. Let's normalize human emotions.

Beauty in the Brokenness 2019
Price $500.00
Artist: Alexia Written Mixed Media
Size: 10in x 16in
Price: $400.00
Even things that are perceived as imperfect or damaged can be beautiful. The eroded brick wall, which might be seen as a symbol of decay and neglect becomes a canvas for the vibrant neon colors that breathe new life into it. The combination of the old and the new, the worn and the vibrant, creates this idea that even broken things can be beautiful.

Decisions Maps, 2019 (Sold)
Artist: Alexia Written
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 30in x 40in
Price: $500.00
This abstract painting explores the idea that decisions are nothing more than directions on how we move, and that labeling them as good or bad can lead to unnecessary worry and anxiety. Growing up, my father taught me to approach decisions with a sense of calm and openness. He reminded me that every decision, no matter how difficult or insignificant it may seem, can lead to new opportunities and experiences. In "Decisions", I sought to capture this sense of openness and possibility. The bold abstract forms and colors in the painting represent the diverse paths that we can take in life. Rather than labeling these paths as good or bad, we should embrace them as opportunities to explore and grow. This painting is a celebration of the decision-making process and the infinite possibilities that it presents. It reminds us to approach life with a sense of curiosity and adventure, and to embrace the unknown with open hearts and minds.
